Armatus – Canine Harness Trial

Defence Composites recently visited Armatus Canine training centre. They are owned and run by ex-military personnel who pride themselves on offering a professional security and canine training service. 

As a specialist security provider, Armatus Canine is recognised as a Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor, meaning they are one of the top service providers in the security industry. 

When we contacted Armatus Canine owner, Chris Talbot recently and explained Defence Composites have developed a general purpose canine harness and wanted to offer him the chance to trial one free of charge, he was happy to oblige.

We met at their training facility just outside of Melton Mowbray and put the Tornado K9 harness through its paces. It was a great opportunity to see how the Tornado harness allows the dog to be mobile and still move freely with ease, whilst offering protection for the dog.

The canine body armour harnesses have been developed and designed from work Defence Composites have done with UK Canine, police and military canine trainers throughout the UK. They were really impressed with the quality, design and build of the harness. They will be showing it on future training sessions and recommending to other dog handlers. We look forward to further feedback from Armatus and working with them on future opportunities.
