Yes, all our DC Stab Vests are made from modified polycarbonate and are certified to UK Home Office Knife Resistance protection Level 1, known as KR1. Please contact us for a copy of our certifications.

Yes, DC stab vest products conform to CE/UKCA – a legal requirement when purchasing body armour for civilian and government agency use. All PPE products placed on the market in UK and Europe must have this conformity mark.

We always recommend replacing your stab vests as soon as possible so please contact us for advice and to arrange an inspection.

Yes, we now have tutorial videos on the website on how to fit and measure up for your your stab vest. We also offer a free demonstration of the stab vest in which you can discuss your design requirements with our lead business development manager. He can also measure up your team on site and talk you through how to best measure up.

We offer a full range of custom design features for you to choose from to meet all your requirements. This service covers different material colours, additional pockets, printer pockets, ID windows, radio clips, MOLLE webbing, etc.

Outer covers should be machine washed on their own at 30ºC with all straps fastened. Do not wash protective panels as these may be wiped with a damp cloth if required. We recommend storing your body armour on a hanger or assembled and standing when not being worn.

Yes, we manufacture stab vest armour specifically for women. That means we make it to female sizes and shapes. As well as our female option, we offer over 240 different sizes in our standard range. These range from XS up to 6XL, wide, extra wide, long fitting and our made to measure service.

An attack from a knife, gun shot or spiked weapon presents a serious life threatening injury. Blunt trauma attacks come from impact blows like a kick, punch, baseball bat strike. These are more frequent occurrences for security workers, and can cause serious injury to the the internal organs, bruising, fractures and bleeding.

Due to Defence Composites unique polycarbonate material, our stab vests offer an unlimited shelf life on the body armour panels. The material will not deteriorate or degrade like other soft body armour materials. These will often only provide sufficent protection for up to 5 years. Our stab vests will continue to offer the same level of protection long after this. We also offer a 5 year inspection of your panels, so you have peace of mind that your panels are still just as good as when you first bought them.

Yes, our stab vest panels can be removed and put into another Defence Composites cover – therefore giving you the option to change between different covers, or purchase a new cover when yours becomes old or needs washing.
