SOFT ARMOUR BALLISTIC VESTS
DC offer a selection of ballistic vests which protect against the two main levels of handgun threat as determined by the UK (HOSDB) and USA (NIJ).
The two main levels of soft armour protection available are:
- NIJ 0101.06 Level II – Protects against the most common handgun threats, including 9mm and 357 Magnum.
- NIJ 0101.06 Level IIIA – Protects against the Level II threat plus higher velocity 9mm handgun and sub machine gun rounds and higher energy threats including 44 Magnum.
For rifle fire protection hard armour plates are necessary either as a stand alone plate to defeat rifle round alone or as an ‘in combination with’ (ICW) plate which need the soft body armour behind it.
Our range of soft armour ballistic vests can be worn in a selection of different styles of carrier. Choose from our standard overt carriers or look at our range of ballistic styles covers in overt and covert or even the full load carrying overt with molle webbing.
